There was a hat-trick of wins for both the F2 and F1 F.S.R.A. / Wintec Racing Pre-Injection Championship leaders at Croft over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd August. Rob Fisher / Sarah Stokoe (600 Baker Yamaha) won all three F2 races with ease, and were the first Pre-Injection outfit home each time overall. Simon Horton / Jordan Forrest (1200 Wintec Suzuki) took the three F1 race wins, bouncing back from their disappointing Sunday last time out at Cadwell Park.

Saturday's opeinging race was held following heavy rain earlier in the day, with the tyre decision not being straight forward. The grid was split with some opting for wets, and others slicks. However, the former was definitely the better option. In the F2 class, Fisher / Stokoe were rarely troubled, and were followed home by the consistently improving F2 newcomers, brothers Liam & James Saunders (600 Ireson Yamaha), with Wes Pettman / Rian Saunders (600 Windle Yamaha third). In the F1 category, Horton / Forrest came home ahead of team-mates Martin Best / Maverick Davies (1200 Wintec Suzuki), with third going to the new F1 team of John Stephenson / Redd Gilroy (1200 Baker Suzuki).

The weather affected the day’s events, and Saturday's second race was carried over to the following day.

Sunday race one saw the weather improving, the F2 race finished in the dry as it did in the previous wet race with Fisher / Stokoe leading home the Saunders brothers, with Pettman / Saunders occupying the final podium step. The F1 class saw Dave Tibbles / Raitch Greenwood (1100 DDR Yamaha) earn a third behind second placed Best / Davies, and winners Horton / Forrest.

Sundays second race F2 class again featured no changes to the order of the podium finishers, whilst in the F1 race Horton / Forrest made it a perfect triple win, with Tibbles / Greenwood second, and Best / Davies third.

A thank you goes to Wyn Wiltshire who donated a “Pot of Gold” raffle prize to the Pre-Injection Championship, mirroring a gesture he has made for several years for the British F2 Championship series, this year wanting to help the F.S.R.A. / Wintec Pre-Injection class.

Two rounds remain this season, and with the possibility of eight more races both championships are not yet decided. The next event will be at East Fortune over the weekend of the 25th and 26th September (regulations now available), with the championship concluding at the Anglesey Grand with Wirral 100 on the 9th & 10th October.
