Battle of Britain F1 Sidecar Championship registration forms and more information The Battle of Britain F1 Sidecar Championship registration forms, technical specifications and prize money structure will be sent out to all teams that have registered an interest on Wednesday 16th December by e-mail and/or fax to the 51 teams we have listed as both interested and of a suitable standard for the championship. REGISTRATION A team registration will be £50 (to include ACU licence signing for 1 driver and up to 2 passengers) and this will be the only payment for any part of the series. From the 51 teams, we will select 24 permanent teams made up of up to 10 "World" teams and 14 "Seeded" teams and up to 16 "Qualifier" teams who will be eligible for up to 4 rounds each (These teams may be promoted to "Seeded" status if their results justify it). TECHNICAL Full Technical regulations will be issued on 18th December, but to give an indication of our thinking: "World" teams will run to FIM Technical regulations (Standard engines), "Seeded" teams and "Wild Card" teams will run to 2009 regulations (Tuned engines), but will change to Standard top ends and tuned bottom ends for the 2011 season. This is being done to give advanced advice to all teams and make racing closer and more competitive. At any time during the season the organisers may require a "Seeded" team to adopt the 2011 regulations in the unlikely event that their performance is proving detrimental to the competitiveness of the series (a minimum of 30 days notice in writing will be given in such an instance). PRIZE MONEY The Prize Fund scale will also be published on 18th December to detail the breakdown of the £4000.- per round prize fund. Our aims are to accomodate the best teams, both established and up and coming in our 3 year plan to put F1 Sidecars back where they belong, on Track, on TV and on Top of the World. Any team not currently on our list as having an interest in competing in 2010 has until midday on 16th December to do so, either by e-mail jamiestewart9@googlemail.com or by fax 01455 841117. | Posted by admin on Tuesday 08 December 2009 - 13:02:55 | |
