The Croft Circuit near Darlington played host to Rounds 9 and ten of the Castrol Oils Eastern Airways British F1 Sidecar Championship with NEMCRC Club Championship. After the excitement of the previous meeting at Knockhill, crowds were keen to see a repeat and the presence of world championship runners Ben and Tom Birchall Team Birchall Racing; Mitchells Of Mansfield LCR Suzuki as wildcards was sure to set the circuit alight.

2008 YOKOHAMA/ACU/FSRA BRITISH F2 SIDECAR CHAMPIONSHIP

ROUND 3 RACES 5 AND 6 JULY 26-27


For the second year in a row, the Wirral 100 Club hosted a round of our championship at the newly-designed Anglesey track and once again did us proud in terms of track time, not to mention superb weather! The club's programme states their aim to provide all competitors with as many racing laps as possible. Over the two days we were scheduled to have 30 minutes in warm-up time, 20 minutes qualifying and two twenty-lap races – which could have led to 1 hour 40 minutes on track! Around half the sidecar entry had not raced here before so that practice time was invaluable.Well done the Wirral 100 Club!

Three times world and current British F1 sidecar champions Tim Reeves and Patrick Farrance rode to a double victory at Anglesey in Wales over the weekend where they were competing in the third round of the Yokohama/FSRA British F2 sidecar championship. This double win gives them 50 championship points which takes them straight onto the leaderboard in 10th place.
