DAVE WELLS
It is with great regret that we report that Dave Wells succumbed to injuries following a crash at Mallory Park on Saturday 29th October.
Dave was passengering Roy Hanks, and this experienced pairing had been together for 12 seasons. Dave had begun his racing career as a driver in the late 70s but a decade later, he turned to passengering and within a couple of years had gained a reputation second to none. Two TT wins with Mick Boddice in 1991, were followed by British Championships in 1992 and 1993, and with Roy in 2004 a third Championship. Friendly, instantly likeable, most approachable, his vast knowledge and experience were frequently sought after by other passengers. Our sincere condolences to Di, Sarah and other members of the family, and to all at Hanks Racing. He will be sorely missed and long-remembered.
